Winter Camping With Your Company
A unique chance to literally build a winter camp from scratch with your company—on Turbacz Peak, in the Gorce Mountains (height 1310m) outside Krakow.
January and February are the perfect times to climb the Mountain Turbacz. Both a fun and exciting climb and descent. On the Top you’ll be rewarded with stunning views. With your emotions running high, you’ll build your camp village with the help of experts—learning to do it right, so you can survive the night!
The Evening will be spent cooking fun and warming yourself to some quality Vodka and fun stories told by your local guides.

Mountain hiking, overnight in the wild, guiding by map, star gazing, meaningful team challenges, meeting the locals and amazing nature.

Program Overview
Transfer from the gathering point to the beginning of the trail.
Briefing, meeting your mountain guide, distribution of survival backpacks (each including a tent, compass, snow shovel, and snowshoes). Everyone needs to bring a winter sleeping bag and proper winter outdoor clothes. You’ll have the option to buy sleeping bags from us in advance.
2 to 3 hours of climbing to the peak (by foot, in snow, with the provided backpacks).
Registration on the peak, and lunch—then you’ll start building the camp in pairs or small groups.
Dinner by the campfire, with grill-it-yourself food, including warm drinks and hot wine.
An evening talk on world-famous Polish climbers of the Himalayas (Kurtyka, Berbeka, Wielicki, Kukuczka). You’ll learn what the “Polish Syndrome” means.
Overnight in tents, outdoors. (Backup accommodations are available in a cottage on the peak, which is open 24 hours a day.)
Breakfast
Day 2 workshops with experts: ski touring, avalanche training with models and avalanche probes, instruction on how to use snowshoes, and winter climbing on the peak’s wall.
